Approval of Grant Request for Bridge Rehabilitation
utilizing Warren County Marcellus Legacy Transportation Funds

 

 

WHEREAS, Warren County has received financial support from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through the Act 13 - Marcellus Shale Impact Fee through the Highway Bridge Improvement Restricted Account in the Motor License Fund; and

 

WHEREAS, the funds are distributed to the County and may be allocated to local municipalities; and

 

WHEREAS, these funds are to be used to fund the replacement or repair of locally-owned, at-risk, deteriorated bridges in accordance with Penn DOT specifications; and

 

WHEREAS, Warren County’s Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) shall be the official document used for the approval of the use of these funds; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has received and considered the request for the use of these Impact Fee funds and determined the request to be an applicable use of the Marcellus Legacy Transportation Funds;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE WARREN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS that the following project(s) have met the program requirements and are approved for funding of the Local Share:

 

Sugar Grove Township                                    $43,821.90                  Jones Hill Road Bridge Rehabilitation
