The Fiscal Department is comprised of the County Fiscal Director, Payroll/Accounts Payable Administrator and a Purchasing Assistant. This department is responsible for the payment of all General Fund expenses including Payroll. Likewise, a large majority of the County’s Receipts and Revenues flow through this department. The county’s annual budget originates within this department and is submitted to the County Commissioners in December for their final adoption.

The department is available to assist the County auditors and independent auditors in any of their audit related functions and is, likewise, available to assist any of the other County departments in any financial related matters concerning budgets, grants, insurance, etc.

The department is fully computerized, issuing and making available financial information on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
